Meet Nina

Certified Holistic Health Coach, Yoga Teacher & Holistic Massage Therapist

I was born in Sweden and after my parents’ divorce when I was a teen I always wanted to get away to move abroad. I did this when I was 23 years and have not lived in Sweden since then.

My whole life I have always questioned life, is this it? Just go to work and it's basically a never ending groundhog day, I often felt down and depressed. It wasn’t until I started practicing meditation that things really started to change, 6 months previous to this I had started a daily yoga practice which was great, but it was the meditation that really got the ball rolling.

I studied to become an Iyengar yoga teacher after I had seen the great benefit I received from regular yoga and meditation practice.

Since I got pregnant with my first out of three kids, I started to get more and more into healthy eating, and this was a gradual journey which started by introducing detoxes and eating less meat to becoming a vegetarian and later a vegan. I started to bake with healthier options rather than white sugar and so on.

I just loved how the healthy eating, yoga and meditation made me feel. I soon realised that there is more to it. You can do all the yoga in the world and eat clean and healthy but this might not solve all your problems even though it is a hell of a good start. This led me down a path where I tried to figure out why I always felt so sad and down. Eventually I realised I was not happy in my marriage, so I took the very difficult step to divorce. This was a 3 year long hard battle, both mentally and emotional. I started to study to become a Holistic Health Coach, which weaves all the areas in your life together. This is exactly the way I had come to realise in my own struggles, and believe me I have had a lot. Living in a different country away from friends and family, raising a family, being a stay at home mom for 14 years, to go back to full-time in the corporate world, with a two and a half hour commute, while still teaching yoga and taking care of a family.

I know how it is to not have the time for yourself and when you are pulled in so many different directions, then add a difficult divorce on top of this. But hey, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. My passion is to help others who are going through difficulties or just want to start a healthier life. I have a lot of experience which I have now dedicated my life to help others get the same benefits.
